Question I will be traveling to several countries in Africa the end of August. My visit will be approximately 3 weeks. What type of vaccinations do I need to get before I go?
Answer OK... yellow fever definately and you may have to pay for that too... without the certificate you may not get in to some countries !!! Also meningitis, there is a one for one of the strains + make sure if you have had a Tetanus that it is up to date... get a general hepatitus one, or ones to cover all strains.... if I think of anymore (will check my health certificates) I'll mail you later... unless your getting very off the beaten track then don't bother with rabies vac as it is an unpleasant and potentially expensive injection
for the malaria you'll need to take doxycycline tablets, don't reccommned the larium - side effects!!!
