Question HI MERIDYTH, I'M DANNY AND I HAVE A PERSONAL STYLE QUESTION FOR
YOU. AS A VERY EXPERIANCED TAP DANCER AS YOURSELF, DO YOU GET AS
EXCITED AS I DO WATCHING THE CLASSIC OLD TOP HAT & TAILS ROUTINE
DONE BY A PAIR OF KNOCKOUT DANCERS? YOU KNOW, SHINEY BLACK TOP
HAT, HALF TUXEDO COAT WITH BLACK SATIN LAPELS, WHITE GLOVES, HIGH
CUT LEOTARD & SHINEY COLORED CUMBERBUN WITH NYLONS & PUMPS
TAPPING ACROSS THE STAGE TO ''ME & MY SHADOW'' NOW THATS MY IDEA
OF GREAT TAP !! WHATS YOUR TAKE? THANK'S / DANCER DANNY
Answer Hi Danny. I do love a great top hat and tails routine. I believe it is how sophisticated the dancers look as they float across the floor. I also love the old school Sammy Davis Jr., Sandman, & Pat Rico style! But nothing beats Gene Kelly & Debbie Reynolds in Singing in the Rain. Thanks for the question! "Happy Tappin!"
