Question
I took tap up again about a 1 year ago, I have sustained a couple of sprains during that time, when I have been practising at home.  I am going to physio and have exercises specifically for that.  I'm sure when I practice I do not always warm-up properly so an example of appropriate warm-up exercises would help (I'm 34 years old in case my age would affect the advice given).  Thank you for your help.  Emma

Answer
Hello,  Before you begin to tap, here are a few warm up exercises that I do with my students.  10 ankle circles, 2 times, both ways.  Point and Flex hold each for 10 sec., calf & hamstring stretch (hands and feet on floor in squat, slowly stretch out keeping your hands and feet flat, hold 10 sec. Walk hands forward stretching out the calf.)  Sit w/ legs open, stretch forward & over each leg.  I hope these few stretches help out.  Good luck!!!
