Question i have been dancing for 15 years now and have recently chosen to study tap shoes in a project at school, because i am interested in dance. I am specifically going to concentrate on the capezio teletone xtreme tap shoe, would you be able to give me your expert opinion on these tap shoes and what you think makes a good design. If possible could you give me the details for where I can find out more information about the design and manufacture, or any specialist websites
thank you
Answer Hello, The funny thing is is that I just sold my pair of xtreme taps from Capezio because I didn't like the way they fit. I would say that a sturdy but slightly flexible sole makes a great tap shoe. Also I am a firm believer in finding taps that sound crisp & clear. I would say that on capezio's web site the describe the work of there shoe. Your best bet though might be to call Capezio directly and inquire on the different materials that are used to make their shoes. I hope this info helps you with your project.
