Question Hi Gypsy, I got my second tattoo yesterday of a realistic shamrock, with bright greens and yellows. Last night, some of the ink transferred to my pillow case and sheets. I can actually see the outline of part of a shamrock petal on my sheet. My first tattoo was black and greys and did not do this at all. Is this normal?
Thank you for your time.
Lisa
Answer Lisa,
It is very normal for a tattoo to weep a little during the healing period, Plasma and excess pigment leaves the body during this time. I would suggest that you coat the tattoo with ointment before going to bed and try not to sleep on your back during this time. You may also want to use old sheets and pillow cases on your bed to keep from ruining your good linen.
I hope this has been of some help to you. If I can be of any further assistance please let me know.
