Question Hi, I got a tattoo 48hrs ago, there is redness around the tattoo and little pain and a bit of stiffness. The redness around the tattoo has practically disappeared on the top but has spread a bit at the bottom. The tattoo is on the top of my calf on the inside part and about 2-3 inches from my knee. The last time I got a Tattoo on my other calf same thing had happened and stopped using the Bacitin for a day or two and started using again for a few days before switching to unscented lotion and everything was ok. Both tattoos do have a bit of red ink. I have another good 4 inches by 3 inches black tattoo on my shoulder and healed perfectly no redness after 24 hrs. So I'm wondering if this might be normal for tattoos on calves. Hope to hear from you soon.
Answer Natas,
No, it is not normal. You may have an infection. Please contact a physician immediately for a consultation.
I hope this has been of some help to you. If I can be of any further assistance please let me know.
