Question A week ago today me and 2 of my friends went to a very well known tattoo parlor, all of us got tattoo's. But my best friends is disgusting. She had a red tattoo put on her inner right wrist, she has been saying something isn't right for the past week. We went to 3 tattoo parlors other than the one we got them done at they all said it was fine and normal. She came over today and her ink is completly gone in 95% of the tattoo. It is kinda pink like an infection and very puffy. We are going to the place we had them done at tomorrow and seeing what they will do. Should we let them reink or ask for a refund?. We're both very angry no one mentioned the red ink reaction. I think that was very unproffessional of them especially since they talked her into getting it red.
Also what should she do to make the puffyness and pinkness go away? the rest of our tattoos came out fine.
Any help would be very appreciated. And also can u email me the answer because I do not have a computer to check this site frequently for the answers..
Thank you much!!!!
P.s I have been reading your other posts and I think its awesome how much u know about this stuff and how u are helping everyone out. One tattoo parlor we went to didn't want to at all cause we didn't get it there.
Answer Lena,
I have no way to email you as I never see the email addresses of the people who ask the questions.
There is really nothing that can be done about your friends "Red Reaction" if that is what it is except to let nature take it's course. The body will eventually reject all the red pigment but this could take from 6 months to 5 years.
Definately DO NOT reink it or use anything on it until the reaction has passed. As for getting a refund I can tell you that it probably won't happen. More than likely you and your friends signed a release form before they tattooed you. It says in essence that you will not hold them responsible for any complications from the tattoo. They will use the form to refuse the refund. Sorry, wish I had better news for you.
I hope this has been of some help to you. If I can be of any further assistance please let me know.
