Question how old do you have to be to get a tattoo
Answer Chris-
It depends on where you live. In California, you must be 18 years old. In some states you can be 16 or 17 with a parent/gaurdian present. Call your local tattoo shops and see what it is in your state.
A word of caution: be wary of anyone who will break this law, I always wonder what else will they ignore? Will they disregard safe and clean tattoo requirements? If they don't respect their business, I'm not sure they will respect you as a client.
I always recommend waiting until you can get tattooed by a respected tattoo artist where you know you will get good, clean work.
Good Luck!
Sasha
