Question can you still become a tattoo artist if u can berly draw? what if you can watch and draw is that good enough?
Answer Sheliza-
Not all tattooing requires drawing, but this is changing. With the movement towards custom drawn tattoo art, it is vital to have drawing and design skills. Most of the best tattoo artists have art education and do other art besides tattooing. Although there are good tattoo artists that are excellent copy artists and do well in their business.
I think pretty much anyone can learn to draw, some people just have a bit of a knack for it. If you are interested in being a tattoo artist, start taking art and design classes now. You will learn lots of valuable skills that will increase your ability to get a tattoo apprenticeship as well and make you a better tattoo artist.
As you get through the classes, you will start to discover if tattooing is what you really want to do. Some people find they do not like working with perspective, layout, color theory, and even drawing.
Good Luck,
Sasha
