Question
hi I recently got some work done about 5 days on a leg piece of a fantasy style phoenix it was a 5 hour session and most of it has been healing quite nicely but there is one part where pits in the skin have been forming and im worried about infection and what i should do if it is

Answer
Daniel-

Doesn't sound worrying from what you say, as ever, check in with your artist as s/h is on the spot and can see what is happening better.

It was a long session and it is likely that it is just taking some time to heal, not alarming.  The pits will likely scab- don't pick or scratch as that will take ink out.

Infection is generally indicated by an increase in redness and pain, and green or yellow discharge (pus).  If any of those things happen, consult your health care provider, the vast majority of infections are easy to clear and leave no unfixable issues.

Good Luck!
