Question
how do i know if my tattoo is getting infected and should it still be painfull 2 days after?

Answer
Will-

It is totally normal for the tattoo to be sore for 2-3 days after, mine tend to be sore about 5 days after.

Infection is generally indicated by the redness getting more and/or spreading away from the tattoo, green or yellow pus on the tattoo, significant increase in pain, if any of these things happen, consult your health care provider.  Infections are usually easily treated by antibiotics.

Otherwise, expect it to be sore for a bit longer, and then it should be itchy and flaky (sometimes scabbing), this all take about 2 weeks, give or take.

Good Luck!
