Tattoos - covering color

Expert: Sasha Merritt - Professional Tattoo and Cosmetic Artist - 7/4/2009

Question
My tattoo is a heart shape formed by leaves. Inside the heart,
the artist used yellow ink. I don't like it very much. can
yellow be covered by another color? blue maybe???
thanks!

Answer
Marsi-

Yellow is generally pretty easy to cover.  The yellow could impact the new color slightly, so the blue may be a bit greenish.  Although, yellow being light it may not not have much affect, but I'd stay away from light purples or pinks as it likely will end up brown or orange.

Talk to your artist about what is the best for what you want it to look like.

Good Luck,
Sasha Merritt
