Question Hi, I don't have any tattoos yet and I never thought about getting one until recelty but I was thinking about getting a few different things incorporated into one tattoo. I had a dream about a virgin/virgo tiger moth sitting on a tiger lilly which I want and also I would want a tiger and maybe a peacock feather as well. What would be the best place to get a tattoo like this and how should they be placed together? Or, because of their meanings should I separate them? The reasons for which I like these symbols are that: Virgin/Virgo Tiger Moths remind me of how I saved my virginity until I was 21 and lost it to a virgo and I've always liked moths better than butterflies because they weren't so girly and because they fly in the night and are so attracted to light that they'll fly straight into a fire and burn. Tiger Lillies have "fiery" orange flowers, they have medical purposes including suppressing aggressive tendancies in individuals, and there is also an Asian legend about them as well. Tigers and peacocks have always been my favorite animals but I would want a specific design, having a specific meaning, represting something about me... but I don't know what.
Answer Laura,
This is a question that can be answered by no one but you. You are the only one that can ultimately decide the where, why and what of your tattoo and it's placement. I have explained to people for years that tattoos have whatever meaning you wish to apply to them. Some tattoos may have a generalized meaning but in the end it is up to the individual to decide what the design means to them. If you wish to combine these images that mean so much to you then do so. When you describe your design I am seeing a lot of curves and rounded edges. Chest Upper Shoulder and Back Shoulders are good areas for designs that are shaped like that. Sit back and contemplate what will be best for you in the end result.
I hope this has been of some help to you. If I can be of any further assistance please let me know.
