Question
i did not work last year but had a baby can i still claim taxes?

Answer
You are not required to file. Since you had no earned income, you cannot get the earned income credit or child tax credit. So there is no point in filing. However, since the proposed rebate being discussed in congress today will be sent to 2007 filers, you may want to file for that reason alone.
