I do not know the circumstances, but, you should go to www.irs.gov and read up on gifts. After your reading of gifts, if you have additional questions please ask me. There are some many factors that it would take me hours to ponder all of the ramifications that a gift of an asset of great value could cause. On the other hand it may be a good thing.
