Subject: state income tax

Question
I know someone who lives and works in DC.  She is getting Maryland state tax withheld from her paycheck.  Is this correct and how is it handled as far as the 1040 goes?
Thank you for your help.

Answer
Sandi:

Maryland has an agreement with DC that employers will withhold state income tax and forward.  This usual and normal with employers in states that have state income tax.  It does not effect the filing of Federal Tax Form 1040 not the same taxing authority.
