Subject: paper route
Question I am a single female who has two jobs, making 56,000 a year at the first and the second I just started a paper route , 30 miles a day long. What should I expect to pay in taxes, if the route brings in around 900 a month. I'm not sure what deductions I get, so I'm trying to determine if it's worth keeping or will the taxes eat up the income. Thanks Kelly
Answer Kelly:
30 miles a day equals to about $15.00 a day deduction in mileage off the earnings. You will need to keep up with your mileage on a calendar or something documenting the total mileage you drive each day the miles you drive while delivering the paper. That will probably be your only deduction (expenses) that you will have but that is a bigie.
