Question If a corporation owes employee taxes and goes out of business is the owner still responsible for those taxes .
Is the penalties and interest also transferable
Answer Absolutely yes. This is a very delicate situation to get into with IRS. Don't get behind period and expect lots of penalties.
Once it carries over to anyone (or any officers able to sign checks), you can expect IRS might charge an additional 100% penalty to the officer or officers.
