Question
We did not file our federal taxes this year as we did not have the money and thought you could only get an extension if you paid an approximate amount.  What is our best steps to rectify and whom should we seek out for assistance.  We still don't have much money and would likely have to go on a payment plan with IRS.  Thanks for any information you can provide.

Answer
You simply need to file the return and get into an agreement to pay the tax due. You can file Form 9465 with the return to request an agreement or you can file and wait for the bill and call the number on it. I can assist you in filing and getting into an agreement that you can afford.
