Question Have the health benefits of pu-erh tea been clinically prove or clinically tested?
Answer Hello Margie,
That's a good question. In China where pu-erh tea has been consumed for over a period of 1700 years, many Chinese really believe in the health benefits of pu-erh tea even with some sounding over the top. However the problem is that there is a lack of solid evidence to back up these claims as they stem from mouth to mouth experiences shared over a 1700 year history. Now with the popularity of pu-erh tea in China taking off much of these claims are being used for marketing purposes. Personally I believe there are health benefits to be gained through the consumption of pu-erh tea but until more research is invested into pu-erh tea we really should not get too carried away with its wonderful health claims.
