she however did not say anything regarding the time frame he lost the weight in OR whether or not it was accompanied with exercise.

does drinking green tea help regulate the metabloic rate?does it help weight loss as i have been struggling with weaight loss issues over 10 years now.

also how many times do you have to drink it in the day?
is it better or more effective before or after meals?

thanks a lot

Answer
Green tea does help regulate the metabolic rate. HOWEVER, I've said it once and I'll say it again: Wu Long tea does burn up to 157% more calories than green tea.  There are studies that back this up; if you visit www.infusium-tea.com and click on their "Science Digest" tab, you will find documented scientific research that has been briefed for the average reader.  The time frame for weight loss is always dependent on the persons physical dispositions and habits.  I always recommend exercise and a balanced diet for anyone trying to lose weight.  Tea will help quite a bit, but it is especially good when used in combination with a healthy lifestyle- nothing can beat that.  2-3 cups per day should be enough to give you the boost you need.  If weight loss is why you want to drink tea, then I can't recommend Wu Long tea enough; it has more research behind it for that specific benefit than green tea.  Generally drinking tea around meal time is good.  Some people drink Wu Long tea before meals because there is research showing that some of its contents may help block carbohydrate absorption and that the polyphenols increase lipid metabolism.  I do not recommend drinking this tea on an empty stomach, however, simply because it is caffeinated and you may experience the jitters.  Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!  Good luck!
