Question
What do you think of rubrics used in classes? Are you for them or against them? Why? I would like to hear your opinions.

Thanking you,
Emily

Answer
When rubrics came into use about 8 years ago I was not sure about them but now they seem to be a fact of life in most educational circles.  I like to think of them as road maps with check points.  It also gives standardization for each subject which I like in that students who follow them receive more uniform instruction.  Rubrics and standards are measurable...........that is good for everyone and in my point of view increases the quality of education for all.

Best wishes on your research

Patricia
