Question
Hi,
I was thinking about applying for a Library Aide position at an elementary school. I have an associate degree in Business Admin, do you have any advice?

Teresa

Answer
This would be a good beginning if you are interested in getting into the field of education.  Usually Library Aides need to be highly organized in that they usually do alot of data entry, catalogueing, checking out books and filing. You will also likely have a lot of contact with children.  Some schools also use their aides to supervise before and after school and recess activitie.

A degree in Business Admin. should help you with all of that.  Be sure that you are ready for hard work and a lower beginning salary. Benefits are a plus, however in that most of these jobs are full time.

Best of luck!
