Question Hi Laura
I am in the 9th grade and writing a persuasive essay on why students should be permitted to use laptops in school. One of my reasons regards organization, and it would help my stand on the topic if I could get some statistics, research, or expert views on why organized students do better, in all aspects of their lives. If you could help me out, or even give me some websites to go to, it would give my paper some good appeals for my paper, thank you.

I have a couple of articles from a magazine for teachers regarding the use of laptops in schools:
I have read these articles, but it was when they came out. I do know they have lots of information on your general topic, but you will have to see if the information supports your thesis.
I did a quick Google search for "laptops secondary education statistics" and found the next site:
Again, it has lots of statistics, but you will have to read to see if it supports your thesis. Google has great resources, but many times you have to use multiple key words to get the information you want.
If you don't find information to support your thesis, consider changing your thesis slightly so that it does reflect the information you find. For example, you can say "Laptops should be used in schools because they improve student attention and attendance," which is supported by the articles above.
Make sure you document your sources in the format required by your teacher. At the very least, cite the web address of your sources.
