Question I am a resident of Barbados seeking employment in the US as a teacher. I currently hold a BA (english 3yr degree) and I am currently enrolled in a Dip.Ed program at college affiliated with an accredited university and in addition I have 5 years previous work experience as a teacher from nursery to secondary level. Would I be eligible for a job in the US, in particular Georgia?
Answer I do not know what the specific requirements are for Georgia, but I assume that they are similar to other states.......at least a B.A. degree (in US is takes 4 years, not 3). Any further education as well as experience should be helpful. In order to determine specific requirements go to the website: www.doe.K12.ga.us.....that should give you all certification requirements as well as give you links to school districts in Georgia so you can determine more information about job availability.
