Question Hello, I been looking for an answer..Using the criteria for a profession, defend the idea that teaching is a quasi-profession.
Answer Teaching is definately a profession in that teachers are highly educated, must continue their education through out their career and must meet RIGOUROUS professional standards and on going evaluation. They have a great deal of responsibility with many legal and ethical implications as well.
Teaching is definately NOT quasi at all. Most other professionals simply could not handle the job in that the pay is low, the work load exhausting and the on going accountability requirements often overwhelming.
