Question My question is, does a college dean serve terms??? Much like a Governor or Senator??? If so, what are the details??? Does the same apply to a Grade School Principal???
Answer Unlike an elected official who has specific terms of office, and get their jobs by running for office, all administrators (Principals, Asst. Principals, Directors, Deans, etc.) are hired after a careful selection process. There are no time periods, just year to year contracts. Some states have tenure which means that after three years, the individual has fewer evaluations and reviews.
