Question I am a masters student assigned to write a research paper on "The art and science of teaching". What is meant by that and can you help me locate journal articles that discuss the topic?
Answer The art and science of teaching generally refers to the skills involved in teaching. Skills are the science, knowing where to apply them is the art.
As to journal articles, all the good ones are on subscription-only databases. JSTOR is where I would start because it is primarily academic journals, with many of them being full-text. These days, almost all universities have off-campus access to their subscription databases. You may need to take your student ID to the library to get an account, though.
