Subject: historical art
Question Hi MaryAnn, I am writing to ask you if you know of any artistic project ideas that would teach young children about The United States history.. About important ideas like, about the early settlers, our freedom and The Constitution, our early Presidents like Jefferson, Washington, Adams, Jackson.. etc. I want to teach a child, but the child is a visual learner and likes to do crafts and art projects. I want to teacher her through art about our United States history.. do you have any ideas that I can get important concepts communicated through this way?
Answer
Hi, Lori. What a great idea! But no, I don't know of any artistic projects that teach about US History. There would be crafts of course...making candles, designing a flag, designing a postage stamp, weaving...but I'm at a loss to help you on this one.
If I think of something, I'll let you know. Could you send me your email address and a copy of this email? Send to maryann@brightring.com. That way I'll have your info on file and won't have to go back through All Experts. If you like...
