Question Here's a lighthearted question, but one that I am truly clueless about.
My sister in law teaches 4th grade in a Catholic school. She loves her job, what do I get her for Christmas???? I would like to get her something regarding her vocation, because, quite frankly, I don't really relate to her. Facts about her: aged 40, married, no children, lives in a cluttered apartment.
Help!
Answer I would suggest that you go to a teaching supply store (listed in phone directory). If there is not one close by, an office supply store like Staples or Office Max....either you could buy things like sticky notes, pens, pencils, notecards, markers, etc. They also usually have fun activity books with teaching ideas listed by each grade level. Best yet, you good buy her a gift certificate
and she could do her own shopping. School teachers spend an average of $800 on school supplies for their classrooms out of pocket in addition to what schools provide.
Another nice gift is a pampering gift........nice bath soaks, bubble bath, pretty soaps, etc........or a gift certificate for a manicure or pedicure. etc. Teaching is a stressful job and we often neglect ourselves.
Hope this helps.....
