Question
Hallo. I am an Italian teacher of English. I teach English above all , but also Italian for foreigners and German.
I have a wish for my future : to teach in as many states as possible. I like to learn about other cultures and understand a bit more about how people live here and there. Besides next year I'll begin a PhD in contemporary history in USA  and so I'd like to learn contemporary history , social problems, political situations concretely living for some weeks or months in different countries. I have been recently in the Baltics, in Poland , in China , in Egypt. So what I'd like to ask you is if you have any useful suggestions for such a plan. For ex . if you know useful sites or organizations for such a purpose.
I thank you and send my best regards,
Roberta Barazza

Answer
Roberta,
If I understand you question correctly, you are looking to teach in the USA?
The first place to look for information is probably www.teachforamerica.org.
Their purpose is to recruit teachers for high-needs schools here.

I will tell you before you start, teacher certification/licensure here is different for each individual state. Just because I was licensed in Arkansas did not mean I was licensed in Missouri.

I know that "visiting teacher" programs exist, but I have no idea how to go about finding information about them other than to do a web search.

Good luck,
Laura
