Question
how i can help my 4 grader to love writing and to improve his vocabulary?thank you

Answer
I would suggest that you find books that are of interest to him/her and then rather than telling you what was read, ask for a written report about what happened in each chapter.  Also encourage letter writing to friends and relatives.  In terms of vocabulary, buy a good childrens dictionary and begin having your child learn one new word a day.............have him/her write the word and the meaning on a index card and start a card file of new words.

You also might ask your child's teacher to suggest other activities which he/she enjoys in school.

Best wishes!
Patricia
