Question
Hi!

I often hear about how CMGI is a prime example of the bubble burst that took place not too long ago. After looking at its most recent financials, it seems like they really cleaned up their balance sheet and are in a position to start growing again.

Do you think it's possible for this company to make a comeback? If so, what do you think they'd need to do, and do you think they are capable?

They are set to aquire a company called Modus Media International on August 2nd - how do you think that will effect their stock performance over the next 5 to 10 years?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

- Chris

Answer
I ordered all the financials from the company today. Even though we cover 2000 public companies, this one has not been done. I would suggest that you go to their site and order all the financial information in hard copy. We have found this to be an excellent filter to select stocks. Only half respond. If they do not respond to your request, my advise would be to pass on the company, since they would not understand basic investor communications.

After we see the financials, 10-k, we always call the company and interview them, sometimes pay them a visit. This is another filter, and if they do not call back, we move on to another stock. Currently, there are 14,000 company with no coverage, and this is just another company with no coverage at all. Therefore, until they pass these to levels, we are saying to avoid them entirely until the communications can be looked into with great care.
