Question I've been pretty down recently because I don't have a boyfriend (never have. never even been asked out). I know a lot of people don't date in HS, and I know having a boyfriend isn't the most important thing in the world, but when you're a teenager... well, you know how it can be. Maybe I'm just really horny, or maybe I'm just lonely. maybe both. Either way, it's making me sad, even though I know it's not a big deal.
However, I'm a senior (17 years old) and prom is coming up in a couple months. I'm going with my two best friends. One has a boyfriend and the other has an idea of who she wants to ask. I don稚 want to be the only one without a date. However, I don't like anyone. I知 very desperate at this point, so I知 constantly checking guys out, but I知 not really friends with any guy that doesn稚 have a girlfriend.
What makes this even harder is the fact that I do a college in the high school program and am never actually AT the high school. I take all my classes at a local community college. I have trouble making friends at the college though, especially with guys, because I知 really shy around new people.
So, what do I do? How do I go about getting a date for prom when I知 never at the HS and too shy to talk to the older guys in my classes? And even more, I知 just sick of being single. How do I deal?

A lot of people do not date at your age. In fact in my religion they say you should not date at your age. You shouldn't rush into dating because of others. Everyone should enter when the time is right and allowed.
You are annoyed because of the people who date on TV. Understand that's just TV.
