Question hi I'm from NZ and im 15 turning 16. at the begining of last year i meet the girl of me dreams and everything was and is still going great, but i found out that she was moving not only school but house as well. she now lives about 3-3 1/2 hours away. what i want to know is could this relationship work and if it can how do i make it a strong relationship.
Answer Hello,
David I don't recommend a 15 year old to be dating for the psychological problems that can come at hand. 16 is usually better. Yes, any relationship at any age can have psychological problems that follow, yet I noticed 15 and below have higher problems on average. This does not mean you are in a clear at age 16(but I've seen some bad problems at age 15).
Also in some areas 15 year olds cannot date due to the law. I recommend checking the law in your area as I'm not a legal expert.
Now onto your question, can this relationship work if you have a long distance relationship? As friends, yes, yet dating? Hmm. That all depends. First I recommend working off as friends and do not rush this. Next, I recommend to interview some of our "Long distance relationship" experts to see how their relationships worked(if they dated at a distance), and also what they recommend.
I do not recommend you to be dating at 15 and I recommend to wait until at least 16(if 16 is of legal age). Note you cannot break any laws so check into the laws before dating.
