Question
Hey, I'd apreciate some advice. I'm a 10th grader and I hardly ever like boys at my school. I've been noticing this 9th grader though, and he seems a bit geeky, but cute. so I mussled up the courage last week to ask him his name because I see him almost everywhere. I asked him what his name was and he said "William" and kept walking, I didn't want to let him get away that fast so I sped up and said "Oh, well I'm Jessica" and he gave me a kinda awkward look and said oh and shook his head and kept walking. On Monday, I said "Hey whats up william" to him as he was coming inside. he responded, "Nothing." and kept walking and said "Just tired" as he passed me. I then saw a friend of mine going to his same class and I told him to maybe talk to him for me. My friend said he told him "that jessica girl is pretty cool, you should talk to her." and william said "yeah i will" . i then saw that friend again later that day where i usually see william and i stopped to talk to him. as i saw william pass, my friend yells "HEY WILLIAM, COME HERE" and he kept walking =/

Is he not interested? or just shy?

Answer
hard to say. sounds like he might just be shy. do you see him talking to anyone else? if not then yeah i would say he shy. maybe try and find a time when you can talk to him without anyone else around. he might not want others to see you talking to him because of his shyness. or it could be a family issue as well. whatever it is if you think you want to persue this then i would try what i said abovr. good luck and please let me know how it goes. :)
