Question QUESTION: Okay... the guys that ask me out aren't my type.I'm a girl (age 15) and the guys that ask me out or want to call me are different in that they use improper English, wear baggy-saggy pants and aren't interested in education. I want a guy that I won't be embarrassed to walk around with in the mall. The problem is that these guys ask me out and I say 'no', but they won't take 'no' for an answer. Do I express to them why I don't want to go out with them? (To me, that sounds mean). Or do I just keep saying 'no' without explanation? I'm not a snob or anything I just want the wrong guys to leave me alone.
ANSWER: Dori why do you want to date at age 15? Believe it or not in some areas dating at your age is illegal.

QUESTION: My mom says the same thing about not needing to worry about a 'boyfriend' at this age. But when I say 'going out' it doesn't mean actual one on one dates it's mostly just texting, talking on the phone and hanging' out in a group setting. I think I'll wait to worry about this until next year or so. I didn't know dating another 15 year old was illegal anywhere in the US ??? Wow.

I'm not a lawyer Dori, yet I know in some locations in the world it's illegal to date at age 15. I was told by a US lawyer that some areas have either a policy in place, or they have certain policies that could relate to the fact of dating. For an example it turns out in my state you cannot kiss at age 12. But, you can be a friend with a girl if you are a guy, yet what is a girl friend or a boyfriend if you can never kiss? The law in some areas does not have a solid dating clause, yet in other areas it does. Even if no law in place, our culture does not like people to date at certain ages. I believe 15 may be illegal in some locations, yet because I'm not a lawyer I can't say which US states have any policies at hand. I know another country which has a policy.
