Question
i got a ?. my friend, soon to be my gf (hopefully) is getting kicked out of her house when she is 16, and she is pregnant, only alternative is to live with me or her (boyfriend) at the time, i was wondering . what are the laws of a minor getting kicked out of there house, i live in michigan if that helps .

Answer
Hi,
As I am not a lawyer I cannot give you legal advice. The below does not replace legal advice. I asked a psychologist in if I recall your state to see what law is in place. He said that because the person is below age 17 they can be called a run away if they move out without courts approval. They may need to become an emancipated minor to move out. Because she is pregnant, she may need to file rape charges depending on when she became pregnant. My advice is speak to a lawyer and also a doctor. She should be tested for STIs and such.

Please ask follow ups

P.S. There are a number of legal issues with the above that again require her to speak to a lawyer. The above does not replace a lawyer, nor is it legal advice.
