I can answer questions about long distance relationships, high school/college relationships, crushes, jealousy, heart break, love at a young age, sex at a young age and talking about marriage when you're in your teens. I have been through numerous relationships, long distance relationships, and loving ones. I know how to handle every situation in the manner it should be.

Education/Credentials
In college for engineering, have taken numerous psychology/sociology classes in college, as well as having a mother who is a psychiatrist.

Question
Hi Ryan, I'm 16 and a sophomore in High school.

How do you talk to girls in person and on the phone without having to think of what to say before you talk to them?

I mean, I talk to girls all the time but I'm tired of having to plan out/think of what to say to them beforehand and now I just want to be able to be myself and talk to them naturally.

As for the phone, I guess I'm one of those guys who's afraid to talk to girls on the phone.

Can you help me?

Answer
Paul,

What you're worried about is what EVERY guy has worried about. But, that's the problem, you're worrying way too much.

To us, girls seem like this big complication, but in reality, they're not. If you see a girl in person that you want to talk to, smile, and just say "hi", maybe throw in a little wave, too. If the conversation goes further, ask how she's been, what she's doing tonight/this weekend, small things like that.

I was scared to talk on the phone as well when I was your age, but now can talk to my girlfriend for hours. The way you deal with it is the same way as in person, except without the body language.

So, my advice is simple; relax! Don't over think things, and don't worry, because worrying does nothing.

-Ryan
