Expert: Ryan Date: 6/10/2008 Subject: My sister's best friend
Question Hello. I am a 16 year old guy in high school. I really like my sister's best friend, and I'm pretty sure she likes me back, but she won't admit it. (I asked her if she likes me once over MSN and she said more like a brother). She is 14, and won't be entering high school until next year. I was wondering how I could talk to her about it, or what I could do. Also, I was thinking of maybe asking my sister to help set us up, but I feel like my sister would get mad at me.
Also, on a side note, the friend and I are both going to different camps this summer, so we wont be speaking all summer.
Answer Adam,
I'd talk to her about the feelings you have for her. Lay it out on the table about how you feel, but don't come across as being too needy or obsessive. Ask her if she has any feelings for you, more than "like a brother" feelings.
If you're not going to see her for the rest of summer, try to let her know soon. Also, try to stay in contact if you can while you two are apart.
