I can answer questions about long distance relationships, high school/college relationships, crushes, jealousy, heart break, love at a young age, sex at a young age and talking about marriage when you're in your teens. I can also help if your parents dissaprove of your bf/gf. I know all the lingo, I know Facebook, IMing, MySpace, etc., so hearing these words won't be new to me.

I have been through numerous relationships, long distance relationships, and loving ones. I know how to handle every situation in the manner it should be.

Education/Credentials
In college for engineering, have taken numerous psychology/sociology classes in college, as well as having a mother who is a psychiatrist.

Subject: my sister is setting me up with a boy.,.

Question
hello um i will be 18 in like 20 days now and i have never had a boyfriend. i asked my sister for advise and she and her boyfriend are trying to set me up with one of the boyfriends friends and my sister told me about him. we are alike like you cant Believe! i mean its scary but the boy is to shy to meet me. i really want to meet him because i think we would really like each other. so my question is, how do i make this happen, meeting him, without annoying my sister or her boyfriend?

Answer
Jackie,

It seems as if his shyness is a reflection of how much he likes you. We're guys, we do that.

I'd try to find out his screen name, or phone number. Contact him that way and start talking to him a little more. Then, when you feel it's right, ask him to hang out. Your sister and her bf shouldn't get upset over that.
