Question Hi Sandi, sorry to bother you. I have a question on dating in highschool. im 17 years old, male. ive been an orphan since the age of 5. about 6 months ago, i was taken into the care of a foster family. they were gonna homeschool me my senior year, but they figured i should graduate at a highschool to be able to socialize with people my age since ive never had that advantage before. my classmates ask me all the time why i dont have a girlfriend. i didnt know what to tell them. i told them well i dont have money, no vehicle, just nothing to entertain a girl. they told me i didnt need that to get a girlfriend. well i began to observe girls with their boyfriends, and i noticed that girls seem to like guys who are bad boys. like bullies and jerks. basically guys that have no respect for women. it seems like if i want a girlfriend, i have to become that type of guy. i dont want to. ive always been taught to respect women. it seems like girls want guys who disrespect them all the time. im not that guy. girls tell me im too nice. i guess since i grew up in the orphanage, ive always been taught to be nice and have respect for women. you know im the type of guy who opens doors for women, tips waitresses, you know little things. about a year ago , i saved a women from getting raped. she wanted to thank me by taking me out to dinner with her boyfriend. her boyfriend looked no different than the guys trying to harm her. i guess thats when i got my first glimpse on what kind of guys women are attracted to. my question to you is, "is there women out there who like nice guys like me, or do i have to become a monster just to have a girlfriend?" thank you for your help. i really appreciate it. Answer yes girls like nice guys :) girls who are attracted to the not so nice guys eventually realize that they were stupid. dont change who you are and your beliefs because you think its going to attract girls. eventually you will find the right girl who wants a guy who treats them with respect.
