im 17, but there is these girl that likes me and i feel attracted to her, but shes 13, and im not sure if i should date her,now, whats the age that we can have sex, we live in texas,another thing, when do you stop being a minor and get to be a teen,and what are the dating laws, like can i date a minor(but at what age do you still be a minor?)and can we have sex, what about the parents? can they say something about our relationship,ok, i think thats about it...thank you for your time...bye

I know if you have sex with her, it's illegal. In some areas it's the male that will get in trouble more than the female, yet general rule is it's illegal. I just spoke to an officer the other day for someone and they said sex for a 13 year old is illegal. As for dating laws, general rule is a 13 year old cannot date legally. That's from my understanding of the law.
