Question QUESTION: i came in this country years ago,i have no close friends i talk to everybody in school,i've been in the news paper few times when i won some competitions so they know me by name they say hi ,but that's it. i like to talk when i have the chance i am open minded and i try to be funny too,i have good grades but i still have an accent (european)and often they pick on that.i would like to have real friends to call me ,to invite me over but nobody..i tried to get closer to people to invite them over but for some reason nothing,everybody is busy ...and nobody cares about me .now i am afraid to try anymore.i thougt that maeby my look is so repulsive and to be onest i have low self esteem now,my family reasures me that i'm quite good lookink but i do not beleive it is hard,must be a reason...the thing is i like a girl a lot ,she talks to me ocasionaly maybe she talks because she is polite not because she realy likes me .i think she noticed that i like her the way i look at her and smile like a stupid all the time when she is around.i tried to make conversation but i freeze when i'm around her.i would like to ask her out but i do not know how to start ... i am 17 and i feel that i am a social moron..please.. help....

I guess you would like to work on self esteem issues. Where do you believe this issue has come from? Has this been a problem for more than three years? Any professional help called in? Does your parents know about this? How important is friendship to you and why?
