Question "Today in school, i needed to collect my bag so as i was walking i saw 5 girls coming down the stairs and i saw 1 girl instantly look at her friend (as if to say - Oi LOOK!), then look at me with a smile. I smiled back and she looked away. Then as i was walking up the stairs, i saw her look back at me with another smile.
Was she flirting with me ?
Nearly all my mates said that she was flirting with me so i assume she likes me.
The thing is i wanted to talk to her today but when i arrived at school i saw her with her mate, so i just said hi. I don't know why but probaly cos i was nervous. Later in assembly i saw her looking / smiling at me again so i smiled back.
The thing is this girl is REALLY pretty, and ALOT of boys are trying to get 'friendly' with her / impress her. All im wondering is, is she playing with my mind or does she possibly like me? She can get any boy she wants. Later that day, i was waiting for the bus and i saw her walking with her mate. i smiled at her & she just looked at me with a smile /grince. She didn't come and chat with me but turned her head and looked at me again before getting on the bus....

Well well well. It seems that you're at the point where you are beginning to question what girls are thinking about you. First or all; the area of "How to tell if he/she likes me" isn't my best area, so I suggest you ask our Experts in that area of AllExperts for a secondary opinion.
If you ask what I think though--> I think this girl just might be interested in you. You'll never know if you don't talk to her first though!! Keep this type of friendship you have right now with the smiling. Try a smile and a quick wave sometime too. If she keeps showing the signs of looking back at you, smiling, etc. try talking to her some.
After you two see eachother and smile, if you're both within hearing-distance, say a quick "hi/hello" while you're walking past eachother. Do this a few times and one day, actually try TALKING to her.. If you see her by her locker or stopped in the hall or something, stop by her and say hi, ask her how she is, etc.. Tell her you've been wanting to try talking to her some, but wasn't sure if she was in a hurry or not.
Do this, and maybe write a note, and give it to her. Let her know you're interested in talking to her, and would like to get to know eachother better.
From this point, just go with the flow. Learn about eachother, maybe ask if she has a phone number or e.mail address you can reach her at.
