Question hi I'm Stephanie I'm 16 and i have known the guy(17) I'm in love with for 5 years(i have liked him the whole time) but about 2 years ago we became good friend. at the end of sophomore year, he got arrested and went through a really bad break up with a girl he loved and lost his virginity too. well over the summer we became really close. we were always together and always talking. well with me being an athletic trainer and him a football player, during 2 a days we would hang out in between practice, well one day we were hanging out at our friends house and it was just us 2 in the room and we started making out. well for the time being and the place we did alot(not sex). well after that we became really close. then he got a girlfriend from another school. well i started to feel bad about it so i didn't do stuff with him. the other day he said that him and his girlfriend got into a fight and he wanted to see me, so he came and got me and we went to our friends house. before he even told me what was going on he started kissing me then he just stopped. he told me he couldn't cheat on his girlfriend because he knew what it felt like. we started talking about it and i started to cry. he didn't understand why so i told him. i told him i thought he was perfect. and i do he can screw his life up so bad but he can always get it right back on track. and i admire that. well he told me i didn't do anything wrong, he said the first time we messed around it wasn't wrong because me and him had been talking for a wile and it just happened, i told him there had to be something wrong because me and him weren't dating. he said the only reason we weren't was because he didn't want to ruin our great friendship and he wants me in his life for a wile. well ever since that night i cant help but think I'm just not good enough for him. but i cant get over him. I'm so in love with him, he truly is perfect. but its killing me i cant eat, i cry all the time and i cant focus in school. i need to know how to get over him. HELP?

I have to recommend a psychologist for this. However we can talk about why you like him. From what you told me above it sounds like you can do a ton better than him. He sounds like a jerk. I recommend talking to a doctor about sex risks and be tested.
