Question Hi, i am a 15 year old girl, and i have long coppery brown hair and hazel eyes, and i am 5"3 and weigh 108 pounds. my hips are curvy, but my chest is pretty small. i really need some advice about my wardrobe before i go back to school. i really want to look hot and a little more curvy on top, without looking slutty. i also have a very limited budget. what type of clothes should i wear that would look good on my body type that aren't slutty that i could afford? First off, I want to tell you that "hot" has many defs. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Also, it's ok that your chest is small. That doesn't matter that much. But DO NOT put in foam, or any other stuff to make your chests look bigger. These methods never fool anyone. Natural beauty is still the prettiest. However, if you want to look more curvy on top, try to get clothes that enphasize the chest. For example, get clothes that have more detaling towards the chest, like the one below:
I know that that pic may not look so "hot", but it shows you that using pretty ribbon, you can make the illusion of a curvy chest. Also, wear bras that are exactly the right size for you-- what you wear on the inside can reflect on the outside. Don't wear gym type bras unless you are working out-- these just make it seem even more "flat chested." Wear bikini bras, they make your chest more curvy.
If you are also skinny, or have an hourglass shape, get clothes that are low cut and fitted. This also makes the top look curvy. Also, camis and jeans are always the classic for an All American teen look. Halters or strapless casual dresses also enphasize the chest. But of course, dont break the school dress code! If that is going to happen, wear a fitted tee under the strapless dress.
As for the hot part, let me just tell you one thing that i have learned through my years of fashion learning-- IT DOESNT MATTER WHICH STORE YOU GET IT AT, IT DOESNT MATTER HOW CHEAP IT COSTS, IF IT LOOKS HOT ON YOU, GET IT! STUFF THAT LOOKS HOT ON YOU MAY NOT NECCESARILY BE "IN" BUT THAT DOESNT MATTER. Becasue looking hot is great, and if it looks hot on you, the clothes are gonna look like they are "in."
Some stores that I really like that sell hot stuff for cheap is TARGET AND MARSHALLS. at marshalls, it may take longer to find just the right fit.
Swing jackets, cropped jackets, boots, jeans, strapless dresses, laced or detailing knit clothing is what I would imagine in your wordrobe. Here are some looks that are great, but dont go a just buy the exact brand, sometimes at target they will have the same exact thing for way cheaper. Go to target.com and search for these items:
Xhilaration Peter pan collar swing jacket in chocolate
Juniors Xhilaration Print Charmeuse Bubble Sleeve Dress- Silver (btw, this would make you have a curvier top. Thin clothing is also another alternative for making curvier tops)
And i love practically everything in the Xhilaration junior collection. Just remember, go for more low cut things,(but not too low cut-- so you will be in contradiction with the dress code.
Also, if you are out partying, you are in for luck! As i told you, look for strapless dresses of skinny shoulder straps.
