Question
hi michelle im a 14 year old girl im 5 ft 3 and im goin to by best friends fammilys wedding reception and i have no idea what to wear everyone is going to wear what they had on for the wedding and my friend is wearing a bridesmaids dress i have to wear a dress but i dont know what type or anything please help !!!

Answer
Hi Angharad!
LOL :D i think you almost answered your own question. You know what your friend is wearing, so why dont you wear something similar? Ask to see if you can take a peek at what she's wearing, that way if you do wear the wrong thing, you wont be alone, because your friend would be wearing something similar. For you, I think a bridesmaid dress could work very well. But remeber, It also depends on actually HOW formal the wedding reception would be.
Usually, at a wedding reception, people would wear formalish dresses, such as the ones below:

or maybe, if it's less formal, you could just wear things like this:

The last one would be perfect for things such as a "day to night" wedding, because it would be fit for both!

I hope this helps, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask!
