Subject: Summer style

Question
Hey. I'm Nay, I'm a fifteen year old girl.
I have my style generally laid out for me. It changes every so often, but I have a certan way of putting things together. My issue is that I developed my style over the school year, and now that summers coming, I don't know how to keep ahold of it. I'm body concious, and one of my issues is that often my summer options make me feel fat.

Anyway. I don't know how to name it, so I'll just expalin what I do. I have boob length hair that i usually straighten, and bluntish bangs to the bridge of my nose. If i leave my hair curly, i straighten my bangs and pin the rest of my hair back. I dye my it random colors. Its naturally a strawberry blonde, but its since been dyed a dark red-brown, and i switch the color of the lower layers between purple pink green and blue.
I'm an eyeliner girl, and wear lots of it, and I'm also quite naturally pale. I experiment with eyemakeup, but everything else I leave palish. I hate when my cheeks go ruddy.

I layer tank tops over teeshirts, and teeshirts over more shirts. I love stripes, but usually put them underneath things if theyre a teeshirt. I'm a fan of almost-skinny jeans... the thin bootcuts and straight legs, and I love brightly colored shoes. I commonly wear either my black and white vans, green converse, or orange flats. But most of my tops are dark or grey, and I'm a hoodie fanatic. I like wearing dark or mute colors and then adding a pop of color somewhere. Usually my shoes or earrings. My nail color changes a lot, and I have a habit of putting colored safety pins through my ears (I have three holes in each, and two cartilage piercings in my right ear).
I don't know what you'd call that mishmosh. buy yeah.

anyway, my issue is the summer. I have a similarly-dressed friend (cept shes more rocker than me), who just puts on capris/shorts and converse and calls it a day. except, im self concious about my legs, and feel my converse make my legs look chubbier. I'm not that big, but I have flub where I dont like it. I'm also a bit wierd about my arms, which is why im so fond of layering (though i usually roll up my sleeves.

Fact is, im unsure of what to do with the summer and my odd style. Last summer was a mix of pastelly tops and pale capris, which im very wary of now. o.O

Help?!

Answer
Hello Nay! I like your style. :) I've thought about dressing like that but never have...Anyways, if you don't like the way a converse looks with your legs, instead you could try flip-flops, flats, or go barefoot (my personal favorite, but you might hurt your feet a lot). Bermuda length and capri length pants usually flatter legs. You could try a denim skirt with tights under it, if you like. For summer, you can still layer, just use lighter fabrics, and it shouldn't get too hot. If you are self-conscious about your arms, you could cover them up with bracelets and ribbons and stuff. Hoodies probably wouldn't be the best for summer unless you are like, immune to heat. I'm not totally sure what you would like to wear because I have not dressed like that. You can still wear jeans if you like, but wear a lighter top (not necessarily in color, maybe a lighter fabric or not as many layers). Black and grey are still fine for summer, just because it is summer doesn't mean you HAVE to change colors.

I hope I helped! Bye!
