Question QUESTION: If you were Stacy what would you make of the mom’s comments (what do you think of the comment her mom made about the paisley blouse)
THIS MORNING AT 9:00AM - Mom telephoned Stacy to ask her a question
Mom: “Did you get my refund for the two extra puddings the store clerk charged me”
Stacy: “Yes. How is the blouse you are wearing”
Mom: “Beautiful”
Stacy: “Mom were you saying the blouse wasn’t pretty”
Mom: “NO I NEVER SAID THAT”
THIS MORNING AT 8:00AM:
Mom: “How does this blouse look for today for work” (It was one of the blouses Stacy bought for her mom yesterday)
Stacy: “It looks beautiful. Mom since we are talking about clothes, were you saying that the you did not like the blouse or it was not pretty”
Mom: All I said was don’t get that blouse for me”
Stacy: “But mom it is the way you said it you held the blouse up and said, gee this was washed”
Mom: “Yes, all I said was don’t get the blouse for me
YESTERDAY (LATE AFTERNOON). Stacy went to the 99 cent store today. She brought 7 clothing (tops) items for her. And three blouses for her mom. Her mom loved the 10 items, but then the following conversation took place
Stacy: “Mom here are a few others I want to show you I brought two days ago”
Mom: “I don’t like this one, and this paisley one looks like someone wore it, it looks washed”
Stacy: “I don’t care that it is washed or worn before, it is still beautiful”
Mom: “I wont wear anything that someone else wore, it could have been on a corpse, you don’t know where it has been”
Stacy: “Mom are all you saying is that you wont wear anything that is worn”
Mom: “Yes, I would never tell you what to buy”
ANSWER: Hey Debbie!
Lol, to tell you the truth, i dont really get what they are saying in the convo there.. so if you could clarify that would help! Also, this isnt really about teen fashion, but I guess it wouldnt hurt to give you my opinion!

QUESTION: what I am trying to ask is Stacys upset when her mother made the comment about the paisley top. Her mom said "This top was washed so therefore someone aleady wore it."
Was her mom putting down the blouse?
ANSWER: Hey Debbie,
Well i think that stacy's mom probably didnt like the blouse, but i still think that the main reason she said that was truely b/c she doesnt like to wear things that were handed down or have been worn by somebody else.

QUESTION: do you think her mother doesnt like hand-me-downs is because she was raised during the depression era and had to wear hand-me-downs back then.
Answer Hey Debbie!
Well, it could be that, but it could also be because she doesn't like to wear "dirty things". Some people have this weird phobia where they are crazy about germs... they are just so afraid of germs, that they won't even wear anything that others have worn before. Also, from the last line stacy's mother says, "I wont wear anything that someone else wore, it could have been on a corpse, you don’t know where it has been”. for example, if someone had a disease such as STDs or something, would you want to wear their clothing? I dont really think so. Also, when her mom says "It looks washed" it could also mean she doesnt like "washout" styled colors. I hope I have answered your questions... if you have any more write back! BTW, why are you asking me these questions? I'm just a bit curious... is it like something for school? :)
